yet more illness
14th November 2003, 11:37 pm

i'm in manchester for the weekend, and it's fantastic being back. after a frankly horrible thursday it was great sitting on the train, knowing that soon i'd be sat in front of the telly at home. matt caught the train with me, as he was getting off at stockport, so it was good having someone to chat to during the journey. for some reason all we talked about was relationships; it was nice talking to someone outside the circle about it, and he's been sworn to secrecy.

but, of course, i had to get ill again. i got to manc piccadilliy at about half five, and got the eccles tram to eccles. was absolutely dying to go to the loo about halfway through the journey, but i managed to get home, just. met my dad in morrisons carpark, gave him a big hug and a kiss, and we trundled home. got home, said a big hey to bernie, then dashed to the loo after nudging all the cats. had some properly cooked dinner and drank some beer, then tom came round and we all sat chatting.

the headache came on about half eight, but i ignored it. i'd woken up that day with a sore throat, but thought little of it. however, the headache started getting really intense, so i went to bed about half ten. woke up at half two feeling horrendous... full blown headache with nausea. i went and drank some water, then threw up. spent the rest of the night throwing up at regular hour intervals. i'd go be sick, then laid on my back on my bed and closed my eyes, only to quickly open them for no apparent reason, which meant it was loo-hugging time. anyhow, the sickness finally stopped at about half nine this morning, and the headache's lasted nearly all day. i'm now feeling majorly bunged up and drowsy, so maybe i'm coming down with something. yay, go me.

the only good thing about this sorry tale is that all the throwing up hasn't ruined my skin, so thankyou lord.

tomorrow i'll probably go to the traff and do some shopping, as well as sort out my room (i have new shelves now, so can put the rest of my books and videos away) and watch lots of dvds. i've also got a few people to phone, and boring stuff to do like file away bank statements.

it's lovely being home though, where everything's familiar and friendly. i can't wait for the month off at christmas now.
