Of snow days and snowmen

Sheffield is doing brilliantly in the Big Freeze. This morning there was over a foot of snow and the walk to work was a thing of beauty � no cars, just lines of people walking down the middle of the road swathed in hats and scarves. It's like we're taking back the streets, though not really sure who we're taking them back from. Anyway, work officially closed at two so walked back through the blizzard, stopping off to buy beer and chocolate en route as a snow treat. Got home and immediately decamped to the back garden to make my best snowman.
There's now a foot and a half of snow outside and more forecast for tonight. Bloody love Sheffield sometimes � have already been told by Mini Boss to stay at home tomorrow and have a snow day.In other news I'm ill, my tooth's still not better and will require a crown in January, I'm currently not sleeping and spend most days stumbling about in a funk, and it's Christmas alarmingly soon. I have three Christmas parties to go to at work this year, and they all are within 7 days of each other. December is just going to be one long hangover.
