poor alaskians
25th November 2004, 9:52 am

oh look, my lecture on cell signalling starts in 8 minutes time and i'm still sat at home. i wonder what the odds are on me missing it?

i don't even know why i'm missing the lecture, seeing as i was up in plenty of time for it. i'm so moody and shit at the moment, it's really starting to get to me. part of it's hormones but part of it has to be approaching chrismtas. i'm going to notts tonight to see my gran for a few days, and i just know that she'll bring up christmas at least ten times. she wants us all to spend christmas at her house this year... i want to ask my dad if we can just forget about it this year, and pretend it doesn't exist.

but anyway, bar feeling shit i haven't really done much of interest lately. i went out for a drink with paddy tuesday night, which was very pleasant, and watched the lion king last night with everyone. we had dip with breadsticks and carrot sticks, and i avoided the thousand isle dip as it was an odd pink colour.

mel went to a house party last saturday night with rich and em... i stayed at home because i was having another hormone attack. she arrived back at 2:20am, and i was on sick duty until about fourish, when i realised she wasn't gonna sober up anytime soon, and put her to bed. she woke me up about tenish saying she felt awful, and was sick again for most of the morning. bless her, she had a really rough hangover and required much tlc... consequently i fell asleep during scrapheap challenge, but luckily vicky was back by then and cooked the tea, which was cool of her. i've been knackered ever since then actually, so maybe that's why i missed the lecture this morning.

i have dissection this afternoon, we're doing the liver and pancreas. mmm bile staining.

randomly me and rich researched why alaska became a state of america last night, and it turns out it was sold to the usa by russia in 1872 for 7.2 million dollars. i'd say bless the poor alaskians, but i don't think too many people live there. still want to go on holiday there though, if only to bring back a nice huskie dog puppy.
